Wendi's quick round:

Coffee, tea or…what’s your vice? Chocolate

Favorite Movie: Field of Dreams

Favorite Color: Blue...any shade of blue

Favorite book/author: Ack...all? I don’t know that I have a favorite any longer. There are too many I like.

How do you feel about bacon? It’s an important food group. At the top, right?

The REAL questions… (you don’t have to answer all of them but I do want to know what’s under your bed. I’m growing dust elephants for profit. I don’t want to be out-marketed.) I have tumbleweeds of cat and dog fur in my house. They keep me company.

Tell us a little about yourself.
I like blue. All colors of blue...but I drive a black Jeep named Black Dahlia. Yeah, I’m strange. I love erotic romance, the kinkier the better and I spend more time than I should on Facebook. Shrug. We all have our quirks. I listen well and I tend to scare people with my blue hair. It’s a living.

What’s under your bed?
A slipper, dog fur, cat fur and a chunk of wood that may or may not have fallen off my bed.

What comes first, plot or characters?
Characters. If I can’t see them, I can’t write what they will do. When I see them in my head (or dreams), I write them.

Pantser, plotter, or hybrid? Tell us about your writing process.
I write the characters and their quirks, then back away for a while. Let it percolate. Then when the story decides to come and the characters talk, I write. Some days I get 5 or 6k out of them. Other days, 2k is the best I can do. I have too many distractions at my house (2 dogs and 2 cats) so sometimes I don’t get to write much.

Oddest thing on your desk?
The Snapple box with an old baby blanket and lots of cat fur, without a cat in it. So a certain orange cat can ‘observe’ me writing. Or pick at me. He’s not sure which.

What’s your most interesting writing quirk?
I write in notebooks first. I won’t just open a doc on the computer and plug in. Nope. I have to write longhand in a notebook first. For some reason, the characters like to talk in the notebook first.

What’s your favorite thing about the genre you write in?
Well, I write mostly contemporary, so I can make the men do whatever I want them to do instead of what they want to do in real life. It’s kind of nice. Oh and I can generally put whoever I want together...although it doesn’t always work that way.

What is the hardest thing about being an author?
Reviews. Honestly I like the more intense reviews because I learn something about my work and can usually use it later. But sometimes thick skin isn’t enough.

What’s the easiest thing about being an author?
I get to write all daysometimesand talk to author friends about our characters. How cool is that?

Bonus question: What do you wish someone had asked you? Here’s your chance to get the soap box out!

Yanno, there’s not much I haven’t been asked. Hmm... Maybe, why have blue hair?
Something to do to cover the greys. J

Tell us about your latest release!

Sure!

All work and no play makes life boring…unless there's a dollop of whipped cream and a studded paddle involved. Then it's all fun.

Roxy loves her job at the Delight Tonight restaurant, but she longs for more. She’d rather find employment using her accounting skills. Her boss, Sean, has mentioned he’s interested in bringing her on as an accountant. Can she keep her wits about her or will she cave in to the blossoming feelings she has for him?

Sean doesn’t date his staff…ever. Except, Roxy makes him rethink his rules. She’s curvy, sexy and one of the few people he trusts. When he’s given the birthday surprise of his life, he knows he wants Roxy in every way.

Will getting her into his bed translate into a love to last forever, or a lust and chocolate-filled disaster?

EXCERPT from Honey and Decadence:Talk about a great surprise. Sean picked up a second berry, then dragged it through the whipped cream. He licked the cream off the crimson strawberry but barely tasted the fruit. He focused his attention on the sight of Roxy, his fantasy girl, covered in food. Elias knew what Sean liked and how to come through in the clinch. Sean trailed his fingers down her leg. She shivered and stuffed her hands under her bottom. He couldn’t have imagined a better display for his birthday supper.

“So pretty.” He sat on the chair, then leaned over her and sucked one of the cherries into his mouth. She closed her eyes and her lips parted farther. The Nyotaimori girls weren’t supposed to react to the patrons—not in a traditional setting. But this, this was not traditional by a long shot. Sean dipped his finger in the whipped cream then drew a heart on her sternum.

Her cheeks flooded with colour and she whimpered.

“Talk to me, Roxy.” He dragged the other cherry in the fluffy white cream, then dangled it over her mouth. “First, take a bite.”

She curled her tongue around the cherry before pulling the fruit from the stem. Her brown eyes glittered and she moaned.

“So sexy.” He hooked his finger in the cake, then smeared frosting on her belly. The contrast of the perky blue frosting and her pale skin turned him on. He swiped his tongue through the sugary concoction, cleaning her up. His cock thickened and the blood rushed through his body. If they were in his bedroom, he’d do so much more with her. So much more.

“Don’t stop,” Roxy panted. She arched her back, offering herself to him. “Please?”

Oh hell yes, he’d take things further. He scooted to the head of the table and cupped her jaw in his hand. The sugary confection on his fingers smudged on her cheek. Time to tell her about their shared past and how much he wanted to give their future a try.

“You’re not wearing your red velvet mask.” He pressed a kiss to her lips, then licked her bottom lip. “It’s sexy as hell, but I like you better without it.”

“You remembered,” she whispered.

“I couldn’t forget.” He kissed her again, this time taking total control of the connection. He tangled their tongues and learnt her taste. When she moaned, he slid one arm behind her neck. “I want to play with you. More than anything we could do at Push and so much hotter.”

Her chest heaved. “Play?” The corner of her mouth curled. “I’d love to be yours for the night.”

Here’s a little bit about Wendi Zwaduk:
I’ve always dreamt of writing the stories in my head. Tall, dark, and handsome heroes are my favorites, as long as he has an independent woman keeping him in line. I love playing with words and letting the characters run wild.

NASCAR, Ohio farmland, dirt racing, animals and second chance romance all feature prominently in my books. I also write under the pen name of Megan Slayer. I’m published with Total-E-Bound, Resplendence Publishing, Changeling Press, Liquid Silver Books, Turquoise Morning Press, Decadent Publishing and The Wild Rose Press. Come join me for this fantastic journey!

If you like my work, tell your friends and email me. I love hearing from readers!
