Skye nodded slowly and cupped his cheek, tracing the line of his firm jaw with her fingertips, committing the warmth of his stubble to her mind forever. “But we’d dissolve together, for a good cause.”
Marek stared into the fire for a long moment, his face conflicted and tortured in the flickering light. He clenched his teeth together on a harsh swallow and finally nodded. “Okay.”
