Meet George Hamilton from The Shucker's Booktique #TWRP #paranormal #romance

Today we have fellow The Wild Rose Press author J.C. McKenzie spotlighting The Shucker's Booktique, her new Lobster Cove series release, with a really fun character interview. J.C. pens paranormal romance which is a favorite of mine, so I bet this is a great read. The entire Lobster Cove series has been really fun. She also has some great prizes to give away!! Enjoy!

Meet George Hamilton from The Shucker's Booktique (Lobster Cove series)

1.)     What is your name?

George Hamilton the third of the Lewiston, Maine Hamiltons.

2.)     Can you give us a little background information about yourself?  (For example where you live and what year it is.)

Obviously, I’m from Lewiston, and if I didn’t like watching that plump mouth of yours move, I’d take issue with repeating myself. Next time, I won’t be so understanding.

3.)     Do you have any siblings?

My parents stopped at perfection. They have me. They only need me.

4.)     Any pets?  Do they play a large part in your story?

Why on earth would I let some mangy, tick-ridden pest into my home for the sole purpose of having to care for it, feed it, groom it, and pick up its shit? Having a girlfriend and keeping her ignorant to all the chicks I bang on the side is hard enough.

5.)     How would you describe yourself?  (I mean in terms of personality here.)

I’m very talented and knowledgeable about the world. I have high expectations and look down on those who can’t meet them. I don’t like to be disappointed and I like to control all aspects of my life.

6.)     Describe what your typical day would be like.

I wake up and shower. I expect my girlfriend to have breakfast prepared for me by the time I’m ready to eat. I go to work. I nail my secretary in my office usually around lunchtime. I like to bend her over my desk and then make her pick up all the forms and folders after I’m done with her. After work, I go for drinks with my old frat-buddies. If there’s a chick gagging for it at the club or pub, I’ll give it to her in the bathroom stall. I go home. Dinner better be ready. I usually fall asleep around ten.

7.)     What was your first impression the hero/heroine?  Did it change as you grew to know him/her?

Weak. And perfect to appease my parents. They’ve been nagging me for years to find a good wife and settle down. Willa fit the role. I spent a long time grooming her to be the ultimate, dumb companion. Then she met that guy. The big one with all those ridiculous muscles. Then things went to hell.

8.)     If you could do something forbidden, what would it be?  Why?

That’s a silly question. I already do whatever I want.

9.)     What is your favorite time of day?  Why?

The first moment I walk into my office in the morning. I love watching my employees snap to attention. I can almost see their bodies vibrate anxiety and knowing that I cause it…yes, definitely my favorite time of the day.

Blurb for The Shucker's Booktique:
After her fiancé dumps her and her beloved Aunt Jenny goes missing, Willa Eklund travels to Lobster Cove with a broken heart to search for Jenny while running her bookstore. When a mysterious man visits the Shucker's Booktique on a stormy night drenched in rain and covered in mud, Willa's heart melts under his stormy gaze. She wants Lon and the answers he may have, but he also has a secret. Can Willa trust him?

Lon Devlin is a Tempest, a water sprite who can only take a human form during stormy nights. He rides the waves, lives by the tides, and nothing can hold him down, not even a beautiful woman. When he visits his mortal friend, he discovers she's missing and her intriguing niece has taken her place. He wants Willa, but he also wants answers. What happened to Jenny?

Excerpt from The Shucker's Booktique:

Thump! Thump! Thump!
No! She gasped. It couldn’t be. The banging on the front door of the booktique had to be a figment of her imagination. She couldn’t will Lon into existence. Why would he come back? Especially if he was involved. Unless…cold ice prickled up her spine…unless he needed to eliminate her to take care of loose ends.
No. Crazy thoughts, Willa. He could’ve taken care of her the night before. No, her heart hammered against her chest for a different reason. But it didn’t matter. The knocking on the door wouldn’t, couldn’t be him.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
Could it? She clutched her hot mug in both hands and turned toward the doorway leading to the bookstore. From the kitchen in the back room, she had a clear view through the store to the front door, but not who stood on the other side.
“Willa!” Lon growled. “Wake up and let me in!”
Willa gasped and almost dropped her cup. The tea sloshed around and some spilled over her hands. It burned, but she didn’t move. She couldn’t breathe. Somehow the air got trapped inside her throat. Why was he here? What did he want?
Oh God, let it be me!

Thank you so much for having me! I had a lot of fun writing the interview from George's POV. Obviously he's the villain, and obviously he's incredibly unlikeable!
