M.S. Kaye Has Fun With Cliches And A Peek At Fight Princess

Today we have author M.S. Kaye having fun with cliches! I'm horrible at math, so the math one is my favorite. Have a chuckle and then check out her latest release, Fight Princess, available now!

Thank you, Mia, for having me as your guest.

Fun with Clichés
“Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them, and you have their shoes.” Jack Handey

I recently read this quote, and I thought it was the cat’s pajamas. Clichés can be fun—and even more fun to make fun of…

Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today. Wait two more days. Chores are like wine. They’re better with age.

You can’t put toothpaste back in a tube. Sure you can. You just have to cut the tube open first.

Being over the hill is a good thing sometimes—like in sled riding. The hard work is done, and all you have to do have a blast while sliding down.

The acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree. Well, it depends on how tall the tree is.

As easy as child’s play. I don’t know—have you ever tried to some of the video games out there?

Take the easy way out. Okay, if I knew the easy way, I’d have done it already.

What goes around comes around—and then you get a second chance at it.

Love is blind. Is that why the US has a multi-billion dollar beauty industry?

Another day, another dollar. I hate to break it to you, but if you only make a dollar a day, you’re screwed.

Don’t bite the hand that feeds you. Bite their leg. That way they can’t walk away with the food.

Give 110%. Does someone need a math lesson?

His mouth is writing checks his body can’t cash. Get overdraft protection.

It’s not whether you win or lose. It’s how you play the game. Tell that to the coach.

Kick some butt. It’s more fun to kick them in the head. That way everyone sees the damage—and they had to smell your foot.

There is no “I” in team. But there is in “win.”

It was a dark and stormy night. Since when have you ever seen a storm or a night that wasn’t dark?

Hits like a girl. May I demonstrate?

Fight Princess now available!

Things aren’t what they seem. Don’t get involved.

Celisse is too headstrong to listen. Her best friend’s boyfriend is dead, and she does not heed Cullen’s warning, slipped to her in a note as he’s being arrested for the murder.

Cullen tries to keep Celisse out of danger and also tries to avoid her, both unsuccessfully. He can’t deny his feelings for her anymore, but he knows he can’t have her. If she ever discovered the truth about his past, she’d surely hate him.

While struggling with her intense feelings for Cullen, Celisse uses her skills as an ex-prosecutor to investigate, all while continuing to fight for Ogden, the organizer of an underground fight ring. She eventually realizes things are connected—the ring, Ogden, Cullen, the murder, and herself. She races to uncover the truth before she’s arrested or becomes the next victim—or perhaps, the next culprit
