If I had patience, this would be my pumpkin! |
I was supposed to have a guest and life intervened, so I am cleaning up some housekeeping since the blog has been very busy lately!
First: Mia's Bears, Coyotes and Fisher Cats (oh my!) Contest (sorry I couldn't resist.)
Fisher Cat Says RAWR! |
I neglected to pick a winner, winner chicken dinner, so I'm going to pick two because I am awesome like that. Or rather, Random.org is going to pick 2 out of the comments (it's a neat, random act of coolness.)
My beautiful and well-dressed assistant, Random.org, picked...
CS Patra (from NC, offering one of my favorite reptiles, the turtle!)
Julie Mishler (from PA! Offering beautiful fall leaves along with a host of good animals.)
Thank you for helping me out! I wish I could pick you all.

Next, because I can... I'm going to pimp my friend, Christi Snow's latest release because I can. It's a hot contemporary romantic suspense with a murder, a car chase, and two people who deserve each other after the hell they were put through in Christi's last book. I swear I am NOT moving to Lubbock, Texas or even visiting. It's way too exciting down there (though the men are spicy hot and drool-worthy.)
When Love Intrudes by Christi Snow
Detective Brian Barnes has seen one too many criminals beat the system. He’s burned out and regretting a lot about his life. At the top of that list is how he dealt with Toni Vincent when he was wounded. At the time, he couldn't stand to look at himself, much less have someone he failed care for him. Now she needs his help and he refuses to fail her again. But keeping her alive requires keeping his heart out of it. Something not easy to do when trapped in a romantic mountain retreat, even if it is the safest place for Toni and her unexpected charge.
With danger around every corner, it’s hard to know who can be trusted, especially for three people who have been burned before. But they may just find the best family is the one not tied together by blood.

That's all, folks!
