Brent Carmichael loved Corbin's Bend. A small community at the base of the rocky mountains just for spankofiles, he worked tirelessly to make sure everything ran smoothly and that the residents were safe and happy. He never intended to fall in love but when Charmagne Kendle stumbled into his life, he found an attraction he had no intention of fighting.
Char moved to Corbin's Bend after losing her job, her apartment, and her fiance all in one day. She had no idea she was actually moving to a spanking community but with the freedom to explore her secret fetish, she found herself happily upended over Brent's lap.
As their relationship deepened into domestic discipline, her ex appeared wanting her back. Now she had to choose. The rich, handsome, and charming Nathan Korven or former police officer Brent Carmichael. To find her bliss, there was really only one choice.
Thianna D's interview questions!
Quick
round:
Coffee,
tea or…what’s your vice?
I’m pretty much a water drinker but when I need an
upper, I drink Pepsi.
Favorite
Movie:
Oh, hard question…I’d say the original Star Wars
(before they added all the graphics) or the first Harry Potter.
Favorite
Color:
Teal Blue
Favorite
book/author:
Whatever I’m reading at the moment. Truly. It
changes constantly. But for my ‘fall-back’ I would have to say either
Shakespeare – because who doesn’t love the Bard – or Rolf & Ranger because
Falls Chance Ranch feels like home.
How
do you feel about bacon?
Ugh. I hate bacon. LOL I’m not much into pork at
all, except maybe barbequed pork loin, but bacon? Can’t stand it. Meme away :D
I bet you love this kind of bacon! |
The
REAL questions…
Tell
us a little about yourself.
I’m short. There, that’s little. *grins* No, I’ve
been writing all my life. From the time I picked up a pencil, I’ve been writing
odd stories, usually about creatures from other planets. I still have one I
wrote when I was six or seven complete with drawings of said Martian.
Even though I have been in the D/s lifestyle for
many years, I didn’t start writing erotic lit until maybe 7 years ago. I found
my niche. I love writing romance with heat. Add in spanking with purpose and
I’m a happy camper.
What’s
under your bed?
A huge plastic container that’s empty – though it
used to house all my sex toys which are now in a closet making them easier to
reach. No dust bunny colonies, though. I just vacuumed three days ago.
What
comes first, plot or characters?
I’m a pure pantser. I never know what I’m gonna
write until pen hits paper or my fingers hit the keys. And once I’m writing,
the characters lead everything. If I try to take the story where I want it to
go? They stop talking. Bossy little brats. :)
Pantser,
plotter, or hybrid? Tell us about your writing process.
I get lost in I’m writing but I’ve learned not to
plot out anything. If I do that, my muse takes a holiday and the book never
gets written. If I don’t try to imagine what happens next, the book can flow
really well.
Oddest
thing on your desk?
*Looks around* Not really a fair time to answer
that. I just completely redid my bedroom and office. But… Oh! A hard drive from
a very old computer that died. The computer’s gone but I’m not sure how to
destroy the hard drive, so it just keeps tagging along. I should draw a happy
face on it and name it Fred.
What’s
your most interesting writing quirk?
Errrr. I have no idea. It might be the fact that I
cannot plan anything out. Or, no. Probably the fact that I always feel as
though I’m the first reader of any story I write. When a story flows, I never
feel as though I am writing. It’s like inspiration goes through the ether
directly into my fingers and my eyes see it as it comes to life on the page.
What’s
your favorite thing about the genre you write in?
I actually write in several genres. My favorite
thing about spanking romances is delving into the D/s parts of their
relationship. And where else can a person actually say they make a living
writing about their own lifestyle. :)
What
is the hardest thing about being an author?
It’s a very tough job. We don’t just have to write,
but we have to market, find a publisher, and really beat the street to get our
books out there. I think most of us would admit we look forward to the day when
our books are ‘big’ enough that we can hire someone else to do everything else
so we can just write.
What’s
the easiest thing about being an author?
Doing what I love. Seriously, I wake up every
morning knowing I get to do what I was made to do. It is the best feeling in
the world.
What
do you wish someone had asked you for an interview question? Here’s your chance
to get the soap box out!
Oh, now you’re gonna make me think? Shame on you!
*grins* Hmm, How about – if you could choose to be the heroine in your book,
would you?
OH yeah. I’d be Charmagne in an instant. I would
have to say I feel the same way about most of my heroines. I’d take their
places.
Thianna D is an author of erotica and erotic
romance, many of her books either domestic discipline or BDSM in nature. She
loves to write about the emotional aspects of these kinds of relationships.
Finding
Their Bliss came about from her fantasy about a
perfect community where spanking and loving discipline were the norm. She was
thrilled when eight other authors joined in to create the Corbin's Bend series,
a set of erotic spanking novels and novellas.

I'm so jealous of Thia. She's making wonderful strides with her writing, has lost weight, cleaned and redid her bedroom and office. She has so much energy, I get tired just reading about all the things she manages to do. Loved the interview.
Great interview, I like getting to know my favorite authors.
Great interview Thi! I agree wholeheartedly about wishing I could hire someone to do all the other jobs besides writing. Wouldn't that be nice ? :)
What a fun interview! i loved learning more about Thianna!
sure
What a great interview. I love that Thianna's characters run away with her. It gives me hope as nothing I do ever goes to the original plan either.
Great interview and thank you for sharing! Love the Cobrin's Bend books.
